Joyce Takes To House Floor To Advocate For Pro-Life Agenda
Signs On To Multiple Pro-Life Bills
With the 46th anniversary of Roe v Wade approaching, Congressman John Joyce (PA-13) today took to the floor of the United States House of Representatives to advocate for his pro-life agenda. The 13th District lawmaker’s speech came on the heels of a Marist College Poll released earlier this week, which found that over a majority of Americans oppose taxpayer funding for abortions and abortions after 20 weeks.
Joyce’s nephews, Samuel and Shane Mathis, as well his niece, Natalie Mathis, joined him on the floor for his speech.

Today, I join my colleagues in rising to support the dignity of human life.
And no time is more appropriate to do so than as we approach the 46th anniversary of the Roe v Wade decision.
Not only was the Supreme Court’s 1973 ruling a judicial overreach, it also was an assault on a fundamental truth that is essential to our democracy –
The truth that all people are created in the image and likeness of God and that all people have a right to life.
Protecting that precious, God given gift of life is not just something I talk about, it’s part of my identity as a doctor.
When I graduated from medical school, I pledged to never perform, assist or facilitate an abortion.
The people of Pennsylvania’s 13th Congressional District have sent me to Washington to apply that pledge to my work in Congress as well.
Joyce, a member of the Congressional Pro-Life Caucus, also announced today that he has signed on to the following pro-life legislation:
Joyce will sign on to additional pro-life measures in the near future.
