Dr. Joyce Advocates for Pennsylvania Families & Workers at Energy Forum
Washington, DC Congressman John Joyce M.D. (PA-13) today exposed the dangerous ramification of President Biden's environmental agenda for American families and workers during an energy forum entitled "Mounting Costs: The Real Harm of the Biden Administration's Environmental Agenda on the American People and the Economy."
During the forum, Dr. Joyce asked Michelle Bloodworth, President and CEO of America's Power, to outline the challenges for the energy industry to adhere to the Biden Administration's "carbon neutral" goals. As she confirmed, it is highly unrealistic that the industry will be able to confirm to these standards in a short timeframe, setting up American businesses for failure and burdening these critical workers.
Additionally, Dr. Joyce asked American Action Forum President Dr. Douglas Holtz -Eakin to explain the devastating effects of higher energy costs for Pennsylvania families, workers, and small businesses.
"It is clear that the path forward under this administration's policies will lead to higher energy costs. I represent hundreds of thousands of hardworking Pennsylvanians across the economic spectrum" said Dr. Joyce. "Who in our society will bear the greatest cost of higher energy prices? And, how will this affect individual household costs?"
Dr. Holtz-Eakin responded by discussing the devastating consequences that President Biden's policies would have for Pennsylvania families. Watch the full conversation here.
The forum, hosted by Energy and Commerce Committee Republicans, examined the harmful impact of the Biden Administration's radical environmental policies for the American people, including increased costs for electricity, increased electricity rates, increased manufacturing costs for businesses.
