Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman John Joyce, M.D. (PA-13) presented Ray and Deb Cullen of Shippensburg with an official copy of the final legislative text of the HALT Fentanyl Act, signed into law by President Trump on July 16, 2025. 

Ray and Deb Cullen are tireless advocates who have been fighting the fentanyl crisis since the tragic loss of their son Zachary to fentanyl poisoning. The Cullens have testified twice before Congress on the dangers of illicit fentanyl.

Washington, D.C. – This week, Representative John Joyce, M.D. (PA-13), and Representative Deborah Ross (NC-02) introduced the Specialty Physicians Advancing Rural Care (SPARC) Act. This legislation would create a student loan repayment program for specialty physicians who practice in rural areas. 

Washington, D.C. – Congressman John Joyce, M.D. (PA-13), has been appointed as the Chairman of the Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations of the House Committee on Energy and Commerce. 

The Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee is responsible for conducting oversight of any matter related to the jurisdiction of the full committee, which includes telecommunications, energy policy, consumer protection, food and drug safety, public health and research, environmental policy, and interstate and foreign commerce.

This bipartisan legislation will enable researchers to collect needed data to improve patient outcomes and care.
