Dr. Joyce Announces $500,000 Grant for Franklin County Regional Airport
Chambersburg, PA Congressman John Joyce, M.D. (PA-13) today announced that the Susquehanna Area Regional Airport Authority will receive a $502,432 grant from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to construct new support buildings.
"Enhancing physical infrastructure is critical to ensuring the continued success of the Franklin Country Regional Airport," said Dr. Joyce. "By strengthening its capacity to efficiently respond to winter weather, this project is supporting the Franklin County Regional Airport and the essential services and opportunities that it provides in our community."
The Susquehanna Area Regional Airport Authority will receive a total of $502,432.00 for the construction of the snow removal equipment building that will extend the life of the Franklin County Regional Airport's snow removal equipment. This grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation will fund the final construction phase of the project. Congressman Joyce, a member of the Energy and Commerce Committee, is committed to bolstering our nation's critical infrastructure.
