Dr. Joyce Announces U.S. Military Academy Appointment for Noah Lawson of Westmoreland County
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman John Joyce M.D. (PA-13) today announced that Noah Lawson of Westmoreland County has been offered an appointment to the U.S Military Academy for the Class of 2027. Noah currently attends Ligonier Valley High School and is the son of Heath and Susie Fisher. All Service Academy appointees from the 13th Congressional district were nominated to their respective academies on the advice of a board of former Service Academy graduates who live in Pennsylvania’s 13th Congressional District.
“Congratulations to Noah Lawson of Westmoreland County upon his appointment to the U.S. Military Academy for the Class of 2027. Last fall, it was my privilege to nominate Noah and to recognize his strong desire to serve our nation. Through his exemplary preparation, Noah has demonstrated a dedication to grow, lead, and serve,” said Congressman Joyce. “The service academy appointment process is highly selective and competitive. I am thrilled that Noah has received an appointment to the U.S Military Academy, and I commend him and his family on this great achievement.”
All prospective students wishing to attend a U.S. service academy must be nominated by a Member of Congress or another U.S. official and then are rigorously evaluated by the service academies, which determine appointments.
