Dr. Joyce Announces U.S. Naval Academy Appointment for Brian Jacob Johnson of Blair County

Washington, DC – Today, Congressman John Joyce M.D. (PA-13) announced that Brian Jacob Johnson of Blair County has been offered a full appointment to the United States Naval Academy for the Class of 2026.

“It was my privilege and honor to nominate Mr. Johnson to the U.S. Naval Academy. Brian has demonstrated success both in and outside of the classroom, and has fostered a strong desire to serve our nation and his fellow Americans,” said Congressman Joyce. “The U.S. Naval Academy appointment process is incredibly selective and competitive. Brian’s appointment to the United States Naval Academy is a testament to his many years of hard work and preparation.”

All prospective students wishing to attend a service academy must by nominated by a Member of Congress or another U.S. official and then are rigorously evaluated by the service academies, which determine appointments.

All appointments for the Class of 2026 will be announced on a rolling basis over the next few months.
