Dr. Joyce Announces West Point Appointment for Elizabeth Nicole Pfisterer of Adams County
Washington, DC Congressman John Joyce M.D. (PA-13) today announced that Elizabeth Nicole Pfisterer of Adams County has been offered a full appointment to the United States Military Academy for the class of 2026. Elizabeth resides in New Oxford and attends New Oxford High School.
"It was my privilege and honor to nominate Miss Pfisterer to the U.S Military Academy at West Point. Elizabeth has demonstrated success both in and outside of the classroom and has fostered a strong desire to serve our nation and her fellow American." said Congressman Joyce. "The service academy appointment process is incredibly selective and competitive. Elizabeth's appointment to West Point is a testament to her many years of hard work and preparation."
All prospective students wishing to attend a service academy must by nominated by a Member of Congress or another U.S. official and then are rigorously evaluated by the service academies, which determine appointments.
All appointments for the class of 2026 will be announced on a rolling basis over the next few months.
