Dr. Joyce Congratulates Nominee Jeremy Hajzus on His Acceptance into the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy

Washington, D.C. – Congressman John Joyce, M.D. (PA-13) congratulates Jeremy Hajzus of Cambria County on receiving an appointment to the United States Merchant Marine Academy.
Jeremy, a senior at Central Cambria High School, has distinguished himself through strong academic achievement and leadership both in the classroom and as a member of the school’s wrestling team. His appointment to the academy is the result of years of discipline, perseverance, and commitment.
“As he embarks on this exciting chapter, please join me in congratulating Jeremy Hajzus on earning this outstanding appointment to the United States Merchant Marine Academy,” said Congressman Joyce. “His strong character, leadership in the classroom and on the mat, and commitment to serving something greater than himself make him exceptionally deserving of this honor. Congratulations to Jeremy and his family on this incredible achievement, and I look forward to seeing all he will accomplish as he prepares to serve our nation.”
Congressman Joyce recognizes those who have supported Jeremy throughout his journey, including his parents, Michael and Leary Hajzus, as well as Superintendent Dr. Jason Moore and Principal Lisa Asashon, for their guidance and leadership.
