Dr. Joyce Releases Statement Following the Advancement of Energy and Commerce’s Reconciliation Package Out of Committee

May 15, 2025

Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman John Joyce, M.D. (PA-13) released the following statement after the Energy and Commerce Committee advanced its reconciliation package out of Committee:

“Today, my Republican colleagues and I on the Energy and Commerce Committee advanced critical legislation to unleash American energy, fuel innovation in our telecommunications industry, restore rare disease treatment incentives through the bipartisan Orphan Cures Act, and strengthen, secure, and preserve the Medicaid program so that it can continue to serve future generations of Americans who need and deserve these benefits,” said Congressman John Joyce, M.D. “Ensuring Medicaid serves only its intended beneficiaries: low-income pregnant women and children, low-income seniors, and those with disabilities, will strengthen Medicaid for future generations. As this legislation advanced through Committee, I was proud to support its passage to further advance President Trump’s agenda.”
