Dr. Joyce Statement on PA’s Reopening Update

Chambersburg, PA Congressman John Joyce, M.D. (PA-13) issued the below statement on Governor Tom Wolf's announcement that several Pennsylvania counties will proceed in the reopening process. Within the 13th District of Pennsylvania, the counties of Franklin and Huntingdon will transition into the green phase on Friday, June 19.

"At long last, Franklin and Huntingdon Counties will proceed to the green phase in the reopening process next week. For months, Pennsylvanians have been working hard to prevent the spread of coronavirus and protect their neighbors. Now, it is past time for us to get back to work and to get our economy moving in the right direction. We will have a Great American Comeback from this novel virus that was introduced into our country from China."

As of next Friday, all ten counties in Pennsylvania's 13th Congressional District will be operating in the green phase. Additional details about the phased reopening plan are available from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
