Washington, DC – Today, Congressman John Joyce, M.D. (PA-13), spoke on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives, calling on Congress and the Biden Administration to pass legislation addressing the crisis on the southern border. Congressman Joyce’s speech comes as Title 42, the provision allowing U.S. Customs and Border Patrol to rapidly deport those attempting to enter the country illegally is set to expire on Thursday, May 11, 2023.

“Our Commitment to America means offering an alternative that once again puts Pennsylvania families first,” said Congressman Joyce. “It’s time to pass the Secure the Border Act.”

This week, the U.S. House of Representatives will debate H.R.2, the Secure the Border Act of 2023.
