Dr. Joyce: We Must Keep the Economy on the Path to Recovery
This afternoon, Congressman John Joyce, M.D. (PA-13) joined Neil Cavuto to discuss America's response to the coronavirus crisis and our nation's path to recovery.
Selected Remarks:
It's very important that we get Americans safely back to work. We have to be responsible stewards of the taxpayers' dollars and, in facing the next stimulus package, we have to look at what we can do effectively to allow Americans to safely return to work.
***
In any additional stimulus package, we have to include liability protection protection for the frontline workers, for the small businesses, for those that are working in grocery stores, in convenience stores. This has to be an integral part of any additional stimulus package.
***
Our economy has great opportunities, and those opportunities require a dedicated workforce. Incentivizing people to stay at home is not the answer.
***
We know that we had a booming economy, and we know it's going to take the right resources to get us back there. We're on that right path, but we need to work together. It has to be a bipartisan solution to move forward and effectively resume the great economy that we saw right before the introduction of this novel coronavirus.
***
Most importantly, we need to allow American workers to safely return to work, and we need to see that our economy stays on that path to recovery.
