Joyce: The President Is Acquitted for Life

Congressman John Joyce, M.D. (PA-13) released the following statement after the U.S. Senate voted to end its impeachment hearing and acquit President Trump.

"Today's vote in the Senate marks the end of the long and shameful path of this impeachment sham. Driven by petty political stunts, House Democrats' impeachment process never was motivated by the pursuit of truth; instead, it was intended to obstruct the President from delivering results for the American people and as they readily admit to keep President Trump off the ballot in 2020. After months of investigations conducted at a steep cost to the American people, President Trump has been acquitted for life.

"As the President said in his State of the Union address last evening, ?the only victories that matter in Washington are victories that deliver for the American people.' Moving forward, I encourage my colleagues to accept the outcome of the Senate trial, put aside political differences, and come together to deliver commonsense solutions for the American people. From lowering the cost of prescription drug costs and bolstering our national security to ending the national drug crisis and strengthening the economy, we can make a difference for the hardworking families that we serve."
