MEDIA ADVISORY: Rep. Joyce to Host Small Business Field Hearing in Gettysburg on Monday

October 6, 2020

Congressman John Joyce (PA-13) will host a House Committee on Small Business Subcommittee on Rural Development, Agriculture, Trade, and Entrepreneurship hearing on "Harvesting the Digital Age: Connecting our Communities for a Better Future" on Monday, October 21 in Gettysburg at 1pm.

This hearing will examine the need for broadband access in rural communities, including Adams County. Local experts are planning to testify and a list of witnesses will be updated this week.

"Ensuring that Americans have reliable access to digital resources is essential for communities in Pennsylvania and around the country," said Rep. Joyce. "Next week, I am looking forward to welcoming Chairwoman Abby Finkenauer to the 13th District for this important discussion as we work to equip small communities to succeed in the 21st century."

The hearing is scheduled to take place at the Adams County Agriculture and Natural Resource Center, located at 670 Old Harrisburg Road in Gettysburg.

This event is open to the public and members of the press are encouraged to attend. Media should RSVP toemma.thomson@mail.house.gov.
