Remembering Blair County Corrections Officer Rhonda Russell

Altoona, PA Today, Congressman John Joyce M.D. (PA-13) spoke at the funeral service for Blair County Corrections Officer Rhonda Russell, who tragically lost her life in the line of duty on November 17, 2021.

"Right now, we pray that our county would come together to honor and remember her?not only as an officer who stood guard to protect us. But also, as a friend and a member of our community," said Congressman Joyce. "The debt that we owe her, is one that we cannot repay."

The service was held at the Blair County Convention Center and paid tribute to Officer Russell to honor her life and her service to the Blair County community. Over 1,000 members of the Pennsylvania community gathered to pay their final respects.
