Washington, DC Congressman John Joyce, M.D. (PA-13), a member of the House Small Business Committee, tonight voted NO on the Democrats' radical so-called "Heroes 2.0" coronavirus relief legislation.

Washington, DC Today Congressman John Joyce, M.D. (PA-13) and his fellow members of the China Task Force released their final report outlining the Chinese Communist Party's threats to our nation and offering more than 400 solutions to bolster America's national security.

The House Homeland Security Committee, on which Congressman John Joyce (PA-13) serves, held a hearing today regarding the use of National Guard troops at the southern border. During the hearing, United States Border Patrol Chief Carla Provost testified to Joyce that the Pennsylvania National Guard would "certainly" help law enforcement better secure the southern border.

Congressman John Joyce, M.D. (PA-13), a member of the House Small Business Committee, this week highlighted his support for small businesses and the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP).

Though the deadline to apply for Paycheck Protection Program assistance has passed, nearly $138 billion in funding remains unspent. Today, Dr. Joyce signed a discharge petition to force a vote on H.R. 8265, which would extend the Paycheck Protection Program until December 31, 2020 and offer a lifeline to small businesses in Pennsylvania and around the country.

Congressmen John Joyce, M.D. (PA-13) and John Curtis (UT-3) recently introduced H.R.7959, the Returning Inappropriate Cash Handouts (RICH) Act, which prohibits certain individuals from receiving temporary federal unemployment benefits authorized during the coronavirus pandemic. The legislation specifically bars individuals with an income this year that exceeds $1 million from accessing these funds.

During today's House Homeland Security Committee hearing Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen testified to Congressman John Joyce (PA-13) that additional physical barriers are necessary to stop the flow of illegal drugs into the country and combat the drug epidemic in Pennsylvania.
