Congressman John Joyce (PA-13) today released the following statement after opposing H.R. 3877, the Bipartisan Budget Act of 2019:
"As a small business owner, I understand what it's like to make the hard choices that are required in order to balance a check book. One cannot just keep borrowing money without ramifications in the private sector, and it's now time that the federal government adopt that model.
Congressman John Joyce (PA-13) today put forward a second legislative proposal in as many months to support the 13th District's hunting community and address the outbreak of Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) in the region. The measure Joyce and his neighbor GT Thompson (PA-15) introduced today, the Chronic Wasting Disease Research Act (H.R. 2081), would authorize an additional $15 million in grant funding to states, institutions of higher education and other eligible entities that are invested in researching a cure for Chronic Wasting Disease.
Congressman John Joyce (PA-13) today gave his first address on the floor of the United States House of Representatives, where he called for Democrats take up an appropriations package that will fund the border wall and bring an end to the government shutdown.
