The U.S. military is the arsenal of democracy. We must continue to rebuild our military and ensure that our troops have the resources and training they need to defend our nation at home and abroad. On the Homeland Security Committee, Dr. Joyce is working to ensure that our nation is prepared to confront any threat in the 21st century.
As a member of the China Task Force, Dr. Joyce is leading Congress' strategy to combat the growing threat of the Chinese Communist Party and equip Americans to lead in the years to come.

The measure seeks to curb sanctuary cities and counties by making them ineligible to receive federal grants. "Sanctuary cities" are defined as jurisdictions that have policies in place designed to limit cooperation with, or involvement in, federal immigration enforcement actions.

Congressman John Joyce (PA-13) today lead a group of Pennsylvania lawmakers in a letter to Governor Tom Wolf to request that Pennsylvania's chief executive offer President Trump the support of the commonwealth's National Guard for the purposes of addressing the crisis on the southern border. Today, September 11th, we remember what happened 18 years ago in Shanksville, Pennsylvania, here in Washington at the Pentagon, and of course, in New York City. Our resolve is to fight terrorism, which is why I serve you on the House Homeland Security Committee.
Congressman John Joyce (PA-13) today voted to advance the "Border Crisis Supplemental Appropriations Act of 2019," legislation that would increase funding for the purposes of addressing the security and humanitarian crisis on the southern border. Democrats blocked the proposal and later in the day passed a measure to grant amnesty to more than two million people instead.
